La Grande Maison - Hameau Promontoire de Sajac

The Promontory Hamlet of Sajac, located in South Aveyron, at the end of the asphalt road, is a former polyculture farm living in self-sufficiency, operated until 1980, which was gradually renovated by the daughter of the Agricultural Operator and her husband while trying to respect as much as possible the layout and architecture of the different buildings: houses, stables, barns, bread ovens, chestnut dryers, ovens, etc.

The 5 bedrooms are equipped with a sink.
Access to the ground floor via a private balcony of 11 m² accessible from the outside via a very low inclined plane suitable for people with walking difficulties.
On the ground floor of the gîte, we find on one level: the balcony of 11 m², the enclosed panoramic terrace of 30 m², the dining room/kitchen area of 31 m², a bathroom, 1 WC, 1 bedroom with 3 90x190 beds and the living room equipped with a very comfortable BZ 140 convertible sofa bed.
On the first floor: a bathroom with WC, a bathroom and 4 bedrooms.

The four gîtes: La Grande Maison (sleeps 14), Le Grenier (sleeps 6), La Callune (sleeps 5) and La Grange (sleeps 2) and the owner's secondary residence (present during rental periods) are independent and distributed in a balanced way in the hamlet.

These four gîtes are available for rental in July, August and September 2024 for periods of one week or several weeks of 7 days with arrival on Saturday from 4 p.m. and departure the following Saturday at 10 a.m.; the swimming pool is open from June 30 to September 6, 2024.

The facilities common to the four gîtes and the owners are:
The heated outdoor swimming pool (solar heating and if necessary heat pump) with chlorine-free water treatment by BIO UV device, with approximate dimensions of 10 m by 5 m and a water height of approximately 1.20 m over the entire surface of the basin, is open from June 29 to September 6, 2024, 6 days a week from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.; an 80 m² games room; a 600 m² enclosed play area with 1 pétanque court; a 70 m² panoramic terrace overlooking the Tarn valley, an introductory swin golf course.

Maintained paths around the Hamlet allow very pleasant walks in nature: meadows and woods of downy oaks, chestnut trees, conifers and possibly connecting the other surrounding hamlets.

The Tarn river flowing below the hamlet (distance as the crow flies of 800 m and difference in altitude of 300 m) brings a little freshness in the evening; the arrival of the longest canoe route on Le Tarn is practically directly above the Hameau; the river was developed below the hamlet to encourage fishing activities: Croux lake of 90 ha.

Free fiber WiFi is available from all four gîtes; teleworking has already been carried out from lodges using cell phones or 4G USB keys as relays; coworking rooms are available in Réquista, 13 km from the hamlet.

The cleaning of the end-of-stay gîtes must be done by holidaymakers and is made easier by the provision of vacuum cleaners and mops with buckets with a wringing device, the floors are mostly tiled; sheets are not provided.

The visits and discovery hikes are very interesting:
Albi (Tarn) 50 km UNESCO world heritage site, Roquefort (45 km), Millau and Millau Viaduct (70 km), the Lévézou lakes (30 km), Les Cités Templières (50 km), Les Gorges des Raspes du Tarn (30 km), Rodez (70 km) …
The hiking trails near Sajac are numerous and varied in the Tarn valley; 2 hiking booklets: Au Pays du Réquistanais and Au Pays de Roquefort are present in each gîte.
