Take the motorway exit n°39.1 / Direction Florac/Mende, Montpellier bis
Follow Mende Florac
At Balsiège leave the main road and turn right dir Florac cross the bridge and turn right immediately dir. Sainte Enimie. Climb the Causse Sauveterre arriving at the top, at the fork, turn left (dir Molines). Cross the causse and go down to Molines; At the stop sign turn left and follow the direction Florac.
Until you find the N106.
Continue straight until Florac.
Take the direction Florac Nord on the right to cross the bridge
Go past the Carrefour Market store
At the roundabout turn right towards Aérodrome, Causse Méjean
At the give way turn right on the departmental D16 towards Causse Méjean, aerodrome
Via Ales on the N106
Turn left towards Florac
At the roundabout take the 1st right towards Florac, then continue straight on Avenue Monestier (about 1km)
Turn left (opposite the Crédit Agricole) then the first right and go to the end of the esplanade where you will take the D16 direction Causse Méjean (it is the second road on the right which goes up)
IN ALL THESE CASES
Attack the ascent for 6 km (be careful, it's a small mountain road that is sometimes narrow and can be impressive).
Almost at the very top of the plateau, after kilometer marker n°5, take the small tarmacked road to the right which climbs like a hairpin, there is a brown dustbin on the right and a small tree on the left (be careful there is no no sign indicating the place said and the road is difficult to see). If you arrive at the top of the plateau at the Parking sign, turn around because you have missed the road. On the other hand, it can be spotted very well when going down (then on your left).
Continue on this road for 3 km. At the Tomple sign, you have arrived.
