Ferme rénovée - Gîtes de Montlouby

The Montlouby lodges are made up of a renovated farmhouse and a chalet with a capacity of 14 people each, completely independent of each other but which can be combined when the group is larger.
Each has an outdoor bedroom: for the farm it is a bedroom in the trees, for the chalet a log bedroom on a “dovecote style” tower.
The whole is located in a hamlet (40 inhabitants) overlooking the pretty Alagnon valley.

Renovated farmhouse overlooking a 600 m² park with arbor, 50 m zip line, swings, fountain terraces and tree room. One of the terraces allows access to the land on which there is the swimming pool which is in place from the end of June to September.

The park is bordered by pretty low walls and basalt organs which are illuminated by spotlights.
Cars, tractors and pedal quads will delight children. In front of the access to the cottage, a parking lot will allow up to 5 cars to be parked. The two-story gîte can be heated entirely by a high-performance wood stove, the wood being offered.

The interior, decorated with pastel-colored paneling, is made up of 2 levels: the first is made up of a common room with its large farm table and its open-plan kitchen. The first floor is made up of a large mezzanine with a 140 cm bed, two bedrooms each with a mezzanine and two 140 cm beds, a bedroom equipped with a 140 cm bed and a TV. Winter SNCF Ski Pass: SNCF station in Neussargues located 3 km away which offers Ski passes at very advantageous prices with train transport to the Lioran ski resort.

According to some, it is a paradise for children who can safely enjoy the parks with their zip line, their swing kiosk and in summer the completely secure swimming pool (because it is self-supporting, 5.4 m in diameter by 1 m in height).
According to others, it is a haven of peace for older children who can enjoy the terraces (three in number), fountains and arbors to rest or share convivial moments around a large table.

All around, you can enjoy picturesque trails (Chemin de Saint-Jacques de Compostelle) and 1 km from the site of Montlouby from which you will have a panoramic view of the Planèze and the Neussargues valley.
This site is a departure site for free flights (delta and paragliding).
You can go horseback riding or cross-country skiing in Coltines village located 3 km away.
5 km from the Neussargues SNCF station which offers ski passes in winter at very advantageous prices with train transport to the Lioran ski resort.

The village of Mallet is located 15 km from Saint-Flour medieval city and Murat, a small town with its dykes, its virgin and the magnificent little chapel of Bredon.
25 km away, in the small ski resort of Prat de Bouc you can reach Plomb du Cantal on foot or by mountain bike.
In Prat de Bouc you can admire many migratory birds in the right season.

The region is rich in waterfalls, that of Sailhant, 15 km from Mallet, which is located near the magnificent Sailhant castle where you can relax with your family in a quiet cove at the foot of the Castle.
Those of the magnificent Brezons valley will seduce you with their recent developments.

20 km away, you can also go to the Truyère route and admire the Garabit dam, the magnificent ruin of the Château d'Alleuze where you can access without problem and which will allow you to have a magnificent view of the windings of Truyère.
You can also enjoy the beach and the Mallet de Garabit nautical base.

If you continue you will be able to see the Granval and Sarrans dams, the pretty Tréboul bridge and arrive at the splendid Laussac peninsula where you can relax in the shade or enjoy the sun on the beach.

Continuing beyond Murat, you can take the cable car to Plomb du Cantal, take magnificent hikes on the crests of the Monts d'Auvergne (Puy Mary, Puy Griou, etc.), and go for a stroll in the alleys of Salers.

In August, if dates permit, you can attend the great Murat World Folklore festival or the no less famous Aurillac street festival.
Finally, thanks to the A75 you can reach Clermont-Ferrand or Vulcania.

Rentals can be for the weekend, the week or longer.
Prices vary depending on the period and the number of people.
For a gîte (chalet or farm) for up to 14 people: from €700 to €1350 for the week.
For up to 28 people: €1400 to €2700 for the week.

The two gîtes can be rented separately and there is no crowding because they are located on independent plots of land which are not on the same levels.
They can also be rented together for reunions of friends, family for events such as end-of-year celebrations, cousins, birthdays or simply for the pleasure of being together in a natural setting full of authenticity and very calm.
