Our countryside property offers first class accommodation in a restored traditional French manor house complex in the Charente-Maritime region of France.
Situated in the hamlet of La Ville Aux Moines, we benefit from stunning views during the summer months and are surrounded by sunflower fields.
The Charente-Maritime region has a climate second only to the Riviera. Its “micro climate” enjoys mild winters and warm sunny summers making it the ideal holiday destination!
As owners, we live on site in our lovingly restored French manor house. We have refurbished the outlying buildings into well appointed dwellings that are now available for holiday rental.
We have a fantastic heated, fully tiled, safety fenced swimming pool (12 x 8 mtrs) – which has a separate ‘splash’ pool (6 x 5 mtrs) for young ones. A half acre garden contains children’s swings , a play fort, badminton & lawn tennis, a football net, a very large safety netted trampoline,and there is also a games room with table tennis and pool & table football. We have lots of bikes including child seats & safety helmets.
In short we have everything you need for the perfect holiday. Then, of course, for the more adventurous, there is all that Charente-Maritime has to offer as well!
Each gite has an fully fitted kitchen, fully stocked with all crockery, cutlery etc. There is a kettle, microwave, toaster and full normal size gas oven with overhead extractor. There is satellite TV so you can watch all the normal UK channels or if you prefer you can watch French TV. There is a DVD Player, it is also possible to have UK radio via the satellite & to play music CD’s on the DVD player, so bring your favourite DVDs/CD’s. There is WIFI so you can keep up with your emails if you wish.
The bedrooms have full size wardrobes, all bedding & towels are provided free of charge. Cots are available. Pets are welcome in Pegasus, it has a fully fenced garden.
We have a communal laundry building with washing machine & tumble drying facilities.

Follow signs for St Jean d’Angely (you will go down a slip road after the payage and drop onto a roundabout, go slowly around the roundabout and get the correct exit, if you make a mistake here you cant turn round for miles) which will take you down the D650/N150.
Stay on this road for about 15 miles, until you get to Villeneuve la Comtesse, with the Marie.
On your right a zebra crossing then the sport field on your right, there is a right turn signposted as Centre Ville.
Take the right turn off the D650/N150, go thru the village you after 1 mile you get to a railway station & the road turns right.
Then it turns left over a level crossing, go over the crossing and strait on through fields (don’t follow the "Doeuil Sur le Mignon" sign), over the A10 on a bridge.
Then shortly afterward you enter the hamlet of La Ville Aux Moines, at the crossroads we are on your right, it’s a difficult turn into our gates, you cant swing in in one go.
If the gates are closed, come in through the small side gate and on your right at ground level is an electrical box for the autogates. There is a small silver two way switch, push it down then up again, the gates will open for 2 minutes then close again automaticaly.
