Hiking trails Bike pathYou want to be close to the major tourist sites of the Périgord Noir while being quiet, in the countryside, then our cottage is for you.
You will have a 38 m2 cottage on the ground floor of an old renovated barn that we live in. You will nevertheless be independent with at your disposal a kitchen with dishwasher, a large room made up of a living-dining room and a sleeping area equipped with a 160 bed as well as an additional 90 bed.
The bathroom has a walk-in shower.
In the garden (not enclosed) you will have at your disposal a garden furniture, a barbecue with everything you need to enjoy the outdoors
The house is away from the village (about 200 m), by the river which runs at the bottom of the garden, the river sometimes lacking water in some very hot summers. Located 10 km south of the heart of the major sites of the Dordogne valley (Castles of Castelnaud, Beynac and Milandes, La Roque Gageac, fortified towns of Domme and Montpazier), it will allow you to relax in the calm and cool between your visits.
It is also located 5 km from the Vin de Domme cellar, a vineyard that has been relaunched for about 30 years.
Sarlat, the jewel of the region, is only 20 km away.
If it's hot, what could be better than going for a swim in the Dordogne (10 km away), it's much better than in a swimming pool! You can also see the major sites by canoe or barge, superb ride guaranteed! If your heart tells you, you can also rediscover from the sky all the sites you have visited (aerial ballad with the Aeroclub du Sarladais)
You will need a few more kilometers to reach the vézère valley and its major sites (Les Eyzies, Lascaux caves, Saint Léon sur vézère, etc.).
The Lot is only 3 km away, allowing you to discover gradually different landscapes (Gourdon [13 km], Rocamadour, Martel, Gouffre de Padirac, ...)
Many sites to visit, caves, castles, gardens, typical markets and producers, restaurants, evening meals with local products at more than reasonable prices, enough to enjoy your stay in our beautiful region.
Natives of the region, we will help you if you wish to concoct excursions in accordance with your desires.
A location for your bikes is available, the house is located on one of the region's cycling routes (VR circuit of the Céou valley)
Towels and sheets are provided. The bed will be made on your arrival.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour à la rivière assoiffée ! situation géographique idéale pour découvrir les sites alentour : Sarlat,les châteaux des Milandes, Marqueyssac, Beynac, Gourdon,Domme etc..
Le gîte est très confortable et fonctionnel,nous avons bien profité de la fraîcheur à l'intérieur par rapport à la chaleur extérieure,le jardin ombragé et fleuri est très agréable 😉la literie est très confortable.
Et enfin Mireille et Patrick sont sympathiques,accueillants et prévenants !
Une adresse à recommander,c'est sûr !

"Sommerurlaub im Périgord"
Wir haben zwei tolle Wochen bei Mireille und Patrick verbracht, die immer wieder mit Tipps zur Erkundung der Gegend unsere Urlaubstage bereichert haben. Sehr gute und neue Ausstattung, da die Gîte erst seit zwei Jahren vermietet wird. Schöner Garten und ein Extra-Sitzbereich mit Liegen direkt am Flüsschen hinterm Haus, den wir bei der Hitzewelle viel genutzt haben, da er viel Schatten bietet. Auch das Haus hat trotz zwei Wochen Hitze durch die dicken Mauern des Hauses die Kühle gehalten.
Unmittelbar vor der Tür sind Wandermöglichkeiten und Fahrradwege , die Dordogne nur knapp 10 km entfernt und der nächste Bäcker nur 3km. Auch die Weinkooperative um die Ecke lohnt sich! 😉
Wir haben die Ruhe genossen und können die Gîte sehr empfehlen.
