Gîte lac de Payolle : le Petit Arbizon

A balcony on the Pyrenees! On the shores of Lake Payolle, 20 minutes from La Mongie resort, this T3 duplex gîte of 40 m² with terrace offers a panoramic view of the lake and the Arbizon massif.

Lake Payolle is an exceptional site in the Pyrenees, dedicated to pastoralism and outdoor activities: hiking, cycling, mountain biking, fishing, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, paddleboarding, canoeing, etc.

At an altitude of 1140 m, it is set in a setting of pine forests and meadows crossed by streams. Cows and horses graze there freely from May to September.

Lake Payolle is located partly on the territory of the Pyrenees National Park, at the foot of the Col d'Aspin. It is located 15 km from Campan, 18 km from Bagnères-de-Bigorre, and 22 km from the resort of La Mongie and the Pic du Midi.

Le Petit Arbizon is part of the holiday village perfectly integrated into the site designed by architect Edmond Lay in the 1970s. We have renovated it using natural materials (slate paving from the Pyrenees, wood) for the sake of comfort and of modernity.

He understands :
- On the ground floor: a living room with kitchen and lounge area (fireplace, ultra HD TV), a 10 m2 terrace protected by a roller shutter.
- Upstairs: 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and 1 WC. Number of beds: 6 (2 bunk beds 90x190, 1 bed 140x190, 2 alcove berths 80X190).

To note :
- This adjoining gîte offers a not overlooked view of the lake and the mountains.
- The cottage is non-smoking
- Animals are welcome.
- Bicycles or skis can be stored in the common corridor.
- No wi-fi but accessible 4G (Orange)
- The access is steep and not suitable for disabled people.

On the program of your stay, depending on the season:
- On site in Payolle: hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing (marked trails), fishing (fishing routes, pontoons), mountain biking (marked trails), sport cycling (Aspin and Hourquette d'Ancizan passes), horseback riding, archery, paddleboarding, canoeing and pedalos, paragliding.
- In the surrounding area, less than 30 minutes: Pic du Midi (cable car), ski area of Tourmalet La Mongie (22 km), Via ferrata of Vertige de l'Adour, tree climbing of Aya, caves of Médous, museums of Baudéan and Bagnères de Bigorre, Aquensis thermal spa, ...
