Hiking trailsThe gîte la menuiserie for 2 people, recently renovated, is located on the ground floor of our Charente house.
It consists of a living room with a kitchenette, a bedroom with new bedding (140 bed), a bathroom with walk-in shower, and separate WC.
It adjoins the part where we live, separated with a thick wall and a wide corridor (see map). We will therefore be very close to inform you if you wish.
It is located in Saint-Simeux, in Charente (16), between Angoulême and Cognac, 4 km from Châteauneuf-Charente with all the shops
This charming little village of 500 inhabitants, on the banks of the Charente river, is known for its ancient eel fisheries (Essacs) and its magnificent panoramas.
Our cottage will allow you to visit our beautiful Charente, several hiking trails are at our doorstep.
The Charente river is 800 m away, where you will find swimming and fishing areas, you can also practice canoeing.
You can enjoy your meals indoors or in good weather outside on the terrace or under the gazebo in the garden.
There are also several restaurants nearby, including the Pub "Les Gabariers" 800m along the river.
We rent our cottage by the week, for shorter stays, do not hesitate to contact us.

"Excellent séjour à la menuiserie"
Je recommande sans hésiter ce gîte qui est très calme et proche de très belles randonnées à faire à proximité. Vous apprécierez la gentillesse de Martine et Serge qui répondront avec soin à vos demandes. Je reviendrai c est sûre.

Séjour très reposant dans ce beau village en bordure de la Charente.
Très bon accueil de nos hôtes ainsi qu'une belle visite guidée de la pêcherie (Merci pour les explications).

"idéal"
l'idéal pour un grand repos, propre et confortable, calme dans un très bel endroit de la Charente avec promenades à proximité sans voiture. Les hôtes sont accueillants et respectueux. Je recommande vivement !
