Our haven, set in the tranquil beauty of the Lauragian countryside, gives you the opportunity to embrace life at a slower pace with a more sustainable vacation. We are surrounded by fields and rolling hills, creating a natural environment for you to breathe, relax, connect and enjoy time together. We have four gites that can accommodate everyone, from couples to large groups, who want to holiday together, take advantage of our outdoor and covered common areas, to eat, sit or play together.

Fitou is perfect for a couple or a small family. It has a large open space, a kitchen area. There is a large sofa bed which can be used as a double bed. It opens onto our covered and bright terrace. It also has its own private garden which overlooks the fields towards Saint Félix de Lauragais

You can watch the family on the trampoline with a morning coffee or go for a walk to admire the view over the Lauragais plain, from the Montagne Noire to the Pyrenees.

In the afternoon, you can sit by the pool or in our gardens to read or just sit. In the evening, play table football or table tennis before enjoying an evening meal based on fabulous local products from our on-site shop. After the sun goes down, sit back and gaze at the stars to end a perfect day.

If you're looking for something a little more active, let us help you explore the landscape by bike using the many on-road and off-road options. If it's culture you want, there are plenty of historic sites like Carcassonne and Saissac or try our nearby lakes for swimming, sailing and picnicking.

LOCATION
We are located in the small village of Montmaur in Aude, just on the border with Haute-Garonne. Our site offers an ideal place for a rural escape from the hectic life. We are surrounded by beautiful countryside where you can take walks and enjoy stunning views. We are surrounded by villages with markets, restaurants and interesting places to visit. The Lauragais has a rich food culture with many local artisanal producers. We can help you experience it by arranging tours with cheese makers, brewers and even our local olive oil producer. We are also fortunate to have many other essential amenities close by, with supermarkets, bakeries and pharmacies. The Lauragaise has a long history and if you want cultural experiences there is plenty to do, with many Cathar castles and of course Carcassonne. There is the Canal du Midi and the fascinating history of this World Heritage Site. Our favorite spot is Lac Saint Ferriol, which is the artificial basin that provides the water to control the flow of the canal, which is a brilliant place to spend the day.
