Gîte de la Providence is an apartment (on the 1st floor) of character retaining an old style but with all comforts; including a spacious living room (from the 19th century) with dining area, a charming bedroom for 2 people with a marble fireplace, a wardrobe, a kitchenette (with fridge, microwave, sink, toaster, kettle and coffee machine), a bathroom shower, a laundry room and summer kitchen area with electric hob), and direct access to the garden where there is a table and chairs for picnicking.

Gîte de La Providence is ideal for people who appreciate history and the charm of antiques.

The apartment is well surrounded by magnificent trees while being at the same time in the middle of the city.

The gîte and La Providence house next door (where your host lives) are located on an ancient Roman site of the Temple of Apollo.

They are ideally located in the center of Autun with all amenities and tourist attractions very close, within walking distance.

Autun offers the best of two worlds: the activities of a dynamic city and the calm and beauty of the nearby countryside.

Your host, Margaret, is an English woman who moved to France 15 years ago.

Having spent 10 years as a restaurateur and bed and breakfast manager in Haute-Marne, she moved to Autun to continue her activities on a more peaceful level, inspired by the history and beauty of this magnificent city and region.

She will be happy to prepare an evening meal for you to order if you wish!
