The Espelines gîte is located on the edge of the village of Vassieux-en-Vercors, as close to hiking trails as it is to amenities.
You will find a bakery, a grocery store, restaurants, a newsagent, bistros and the Resistance Museum a 2-minute walk away.
The gîte is next to the “Les Espelines” café-bookstore-wine cellar.

Vassieux-en-Vercors is located in the southern part of Vercors, in Drôme, 1 hour from Romans, 1 hour 15 minutes from Valence and Grenoble and 2 hours from Lyon.

You will find at your disposal everything you need to prepare your meals: kitchen utensils, gas cooking, 1 large fridge, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, raclette grill.

The large common room opens directly onto the terrace and the garden shared with the Café-Bookstore-Wine Cellar, equipped with garden tables and deck chairs.

Upstairs, a large hallway serves the 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. All bedrooms are equipped with single, non-bunk beds. The rooms are spacious and bright, equipped with a small desk, while still leaving space available for children to play.
You can divide yourself at your convenience between the 2 rooms with 4 beds, the room with 3 beds and the 2 rooms with 2 beds. All 80 cm single beds can be combined into a 160 cm double bed.

The Vercors regional natural park offers varied mid-mountain landscapes. It is home to the largest nature reserve in France.
Many leisure activities are offered: caves, circuits of the sublime roads of the Vercors with its gorges and suspended roads, local products and crafts, farm visits, etc.

All mountain sports activities can be practiced there:
- in summer: hiking and horse riding, cycling, mountain biking, climbing, via ferrata, caving, canyoning, golf, paragliding, trail running, etc.

The Vassieux plateau is 10 minutes from the resorts of Fond d'Urle and the Col de Rousset and very close to the Hauts-Plateaux du Vercors dominated by the great Veymont.

Vassieux-en-Vercors is a major historic site: the prehistory museum highlights a flint knapping site renowned throughout prehistoric Europe, the museum and the Resistance memorial retrace the role of the resistance in the Vercors and the attacks that the village suffered.
