Located in the village of Marcilhac-sur-Célé, between Figeac and Cahors in the heart of the Causses du Quercy Regional Natural Park, the Galance gîte welcomes groups and hikers (the gîte is located on the GR 651 pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela), all year round. (from November to the end of March, and from July 12 to August 23, 2025: ONLY for groups)
The gîte is located in the Célé valley, serene and preserved. Imagine: The access road along the river was only built 160 years ago! The gîte has a total capacity of 20 beds in two buildings: The main gîte sleeps 15 and the annex 5 meters from the main gîte sleeps 5.
Rooms for 2 to 4 people:
- On the ground floor, with private bathrooms: three bedrooms for 2 (disabled access) and one for 3 people.
- Upstairs, shared bathrooms: Two bedrooms for 2, one for 3 and one for 4 people.
Two rental options: per night or for a specific period, and according to two formulas: half-board or self-catering (use of the kitchen). For the period mid-July/August, only self-catering.
A games room, a meeting room. Horses and donkeys welcome.
The gîte is at the entrance to the village on the GR651. In the village: Grocery store, bakery, post office, restaurants, canoe-kayak rental. Beach. Millennial abbey. Surroundings: Resurgence of the Ressel (diving), climbing, Pech-Merle Caves, Saint Cirq Lapopie, Rocamadour... See you soon!
