Old stone silkworm farm from the 18th century, restored, in the center of the small hamlet of Chabanne, near Chirols, Vals-les-Bains, Antraigues-sur-Volane and Aubenas.
This house combines a traditional character with a contemporary aspect: old chestnut beams, freestone windows, old furniture but also waxed concrete floors, metal staircase, aluminum frames.
The 75 m² cottage can accommodate up to 5 people and consists of 2 bedrooms, one with 1 double bed (160 cm) and the other with 2 single beds (90 cm). A walk-in shower and a lava stone sink have been installed on the main floor, accessible from both bedrooms.
The cottage also includes a pleasant living room with high ceilings, particularly bright thanks to the large bay window opening onto the terrace. It is equipped with a kitchenette and a living room with flat screen TV. Finally, the kitchen, open to the living room, has everything you need for meals: traditional oven, microwave, dishwasher, sink and crockery.
An iron staircase provides access to the footbridge with relaxation area (90 cm bed) and to the private 40 m² terrace without any vis-à-vis and with an exceptional view of the surrounding valleys. From there, you can see the 3 valleys and the Tanargue mountains.
The exterior is equipped with a table, garden armchairs, an electric barbecue, and an old stone sink. You can also enjoy the common flowered garden in addition to your private terrace.
The cottage is close to the rivers: Ardèche, Fontaulière and La Bourge, with very nice areas for swimming and fishing.
