A peaceful family vacation is at the Roméo donkey mill lodge.
This cottage has the particularity of being a water mill, where you will be pleasantly surprised to hear the trickling of water passing under the house.
The river that borders the large enclosed grounds will delight fishermen and nature lovers. What a joy to stroll in the shade of a pine, a birch or a willow while the children enjoy the outdoor games, look for a squirrel in the trees or count the cows.
The cottage is located 5 km from Rochereau Lake, which you can reach by bike via the signposted Vendée paths.
The first beaches and the Poitevin marsh are 45 minutes away. Puy du Fou is 34 km away

What are the directions depending on where you are coming from:
• from Chantonnay, take the direction Poitiers / La Chataigneraie. Cross the town of Saint-Mars-des-Prés. Go under the railway bridge and continue for 1 km. Turn right at the Calvary. Drive 1 km (downhill) and turn left just after the bridge. After 200 m you arrive at the village of La Monnerie. When you are on the small square, head towards the top of the square on the road on the left. Go forward 100 m in this winding cul-de-sac, and park in the small car park. Welcome!
• from Saint-Philbert-du-Pont-Charrault, take the road between the church and the old bakery, continue for 3 km. After passing a crossroads, and a left turn, turn right before the small bridge. After 200 m you arrive at the village of La Monnerie. When you are on the small square, head towards the top of the square on the left road. Go forward 100 m in this winding cul-de-sac, and park in the small car park. Welcome!
• from La Jaudonnière, from the village, take the direction of the football stadium (on the left at the cemetery), drive 1.5 km after the cemetery. When you arrive in the village of Pareds, turn left, and continue for 2 km. You arrive in the village of La Monnerie. When you are on the small square, head towards the top of the square on the road on the left. Go forward 100 m in this winding cul-de-sac, and park in the small car park. Welcome!
