Hiking trailsWe have lived on the Arcachon basin for ten years now and have often criss-crossed the Pyrenees looking for sea/mountain contrasts. This strong and unpredictable nature has always attracted us, to the point of wanting to own a pied-à-terre in the heart of the mountains.
Cazaux Debat, a small and peaceful village, is where we found this stone-built house and undertook to renovate it in the mountain tradition.
We decided to keep the original structure of the building and thereby to create two guest-houses:
Gîte d’Aure which can accommodate 10 visitors, and gîte du Louron with a capacity of 4.
The location is a 5-minute drive from Arreau, a typical Pyrenean village boasting an exceptional heritage – you will enjoy a stroll through its medieval streets. It has all the necessary shops so as to ensure you have a pleasant stay.
Starting from the village, footpaths lead to the neighbouring villages, and will allow you to encounter sheep, cows and horses along the way.
At the crossroads between the Aure and Louron valleys, you can partake of the pleasures of skiing at various resorts : Saint Lary, Peyragudes, Val Louron, or maybe Piau Engaly, only a 20-min drive away.

"magnifique séjour"
Gite de groupe grand confort, très bien équipé avec une vue splendide sur les montagnes.
Allez y les yeux fermés, vous y passerez des vacances actives tant les occupations ne manquent pas et vous vous ressourcerez dans ce cadre si paisible et apaisant.

"Excellente semaine de Noël au Gîte d'Aure"
Nous avons passé une excellente semaine de Noël au Gîte d'Aure ! Un gîte idéalement situé dans un petit village au calme avec une vue magnifique sur les montagnes du Val Louron et la station de Peyragudes. A proximité d'Arreau, ses commerces et son joli marché, à quelques minutes de Loudenvielle, son lac et son magnifique espace thermo-ludique, la station de Peyragudes et son beau domaine skiable.
Le gîte suffisamment spacieux pour 10 personnes a bénéficié d'une superbe rénovation, les volumes sont parfaitement étudiés et la décoration est de très bon goût. En termes de confort, rien à dire non plus, literie grand format de qualité, salles d'eau modernes, cuisine hyper bien équipée, tout y est pour cuisiner et profiter de bons repas en famille. La météo nous a même permis de profiter de la terrasse extérieure et du barbecue ! Propriétaires sympathiques et disponibles même n'étant pas sur place..
