Coming from Saint-Étienne take the highway A72 towards Roanne / Clermont-Ferrand.
Take the toll and exit at Montbrison (first exit).
At the roundabout, turn right towards Montbrison (about 10 km).
Arrived at a roundabout turn right towards Boen (about 2 km).
At the roundabout turn left towards the city center (about 1km).
At the roundabout go straight and follow the hospital then Châtelneuf direction (10 km after Montbrison).
Go to the village of Sauvain (10 km after Châtelneuf) and turn right towards Saint-Georges Couzan.
After 1 km, take a left tarmac at a hairpin bend road: the cottage is reported. Gîtes de France "in time past."
Coming from Clermont-Ferrand by the highway exit at Feurs.
Turn left towards Boen.
Cross Boen take the N89 towards Noirétable 4 km.
Turn left: station / Sail sous Couzan / Saint-Georges in Couzan, to about 11 km to Saint-Georges Couzan.
Through Saint-Georges in Couzan, turn left Sauvain for 7 km.
In turn hairpin (1 km before the village Sauvain) take the paved road on the right. A label Gîtes de France "time spent" points the way.

"Très beau week-end !"
Très beau week-end passé en famille à Sauvain. Nous recommandons vivement ce gîte. L'accueil de Nathalie était très chaleureux. Elle a su nous faire des suggestions de randos sur le plateau des Hautes Chaumes, nous expliquer l'histoire étonnante du gîte, et également accompagner les enfants auprès des animaux pour ramasser les oeufs. Quant au gîte, il est magnifique. Les plafonds à la française et les boiseries sont inattendus et sont très bien mis en valeur par une déco très soignée. Confort garanti pour 13 personnes. Bref génial !

"Tout est parfait"
Gite très agréable, très propre, nous avons passé un excellent week-end. Nathalie n'a pas hésité à nous consacrer du temps pour la visite des chèvres, poules, oies... les enfants ont adoré. Nous recommandons ce gîte pour passer un agréable séjour.
