In addition to calm and tranquility, there are all the shops and services needed to satisfy both the local population and the many holidaymakers during the summer season.
Port des Barques is an integral part of the Marennes-Oléron basin, which produces nearly 60% of the French oyster consumption and, as such, benefits from an exceptional water quality for growing shellfish (fishing on foot possible).
In terms of history, Port des Barques also has a history of interest and is part of a culturally rich region: Brouage, Rochefort, Saintes, La Rochelle ...

"De belles vacances à Port-des-barques!"
Super accueil des propriétaires! Nous nous sommes immédiatement sentis comme chez nous dans cet adorable gîte au bord de la mer. Très pratique et idéalement placé pour naviguer dans toute la région. De plus, la plage et le marché sont accessibles à pied avec des enfants en bas âge. Nous garderons un merveilleux souvenir de ces vacances à Port-des-barques. Je recommande vivement :)
