This newly renovated cottage is an ideal base from which you can explore the Vendee region of France, from the beautiful villages of the countryside to the beach resorts of the Atlantic coast.
The Vendee region of France benefits from its own microclimate enjoying around 2,600 hours of sunshine per year, almost as many hours as the South of France.

The cottage itself is a restored traditional village house. The house benefits from a large, beamed lounge/dining room and a well-equipped modern kitchen. There are 2 good sized bedrooms with quality oak furniture and a separate utility room. The decoration and equipment of the cottage is to a very high standard and offers maximum comfort and convenience for families or couples.

The garden is a good size and private and of course there is the solar heated swimming pool. The pool is fully enclosed for safety purposes and there are sun beds for soaking up the sun in the all-day sun trap. There is an outdoor dining table and barbeque for alfresco dining.

Nearby is the beautiful Mervent-Vouvant Forest with its 200km well signed walks, cycling and bridleways and its large lake offering many water-sports and activities.
Local amenities are just a few minutes away with the nearest town of Fontenay-le-Comte offering 2 large supermarkets just 20 minutes away.

The cottage is located in a charming historic hamlet in the middle of the Vendée countryside.
