Chateau de la Coutere offers you French style and country living, in the heart of southern rural France. With its original oak floors and characterful rooms in abundance, you will enjoy everything there is to be expected from a centuries old chateau. The recent renovations will guarantee you the familiarity and comfort of staying in a home from home environment, whilst finding yourself immersed in a truly secluded setting. The chateau is discovered at the end of its own private country road, surrounded by 30 acres of its own park and woodland on all sides and bordering the River Save.

Decorated with antique, vintage, and contemporary furniture and art, there is plenty of room for everybody to relax and unwind as the chateau sleeps up to 16 people. There are six upstairs bedrooms and all are stylishly decorated. Four bedrooms come with king size beds as standard, the fifth has a super king size bed and the sixth bedroom has a double bed and two single beds. Any of the first five bedrooms can also have additional single beds added if needed.

The six upstairs bedrooms all have en-suite facilities, sharing four full bathrooms between them. The bedroom arrangement is ideal for different families holidaying together or generations of the same family taking their vacation. Full linen and towels are provided for each room. The grand salon and dining room have been designed to accommodate large parties such as several groups of friends or families holidaying together.

In the summer, the south of France is all about the great outdoors and as much as you will like the inside of the chateau, you will adore the outside even more. Families love this intimate chateau for its swimming pool and the chateau’s acres of grounds and woodlands to explore - there's even tree swings and a trampoline for the young ones or even young at heart!

Friends holidaying together also enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, eating alfresco on the terraces, after cooking on the BBQ or in the fully equipped newly fitted kitchen.

Don't forget to take a walk to the waterfalls for a swim or to enjoy the nature setting at the edge of the chateau's grounds.

Evenings will be filled with enjoying the last of the sun’s rays by the swimming pool, enjoying refreshing drinks under the fairy lights, at the front of the chateau, or listening to nature on the raised terraces in front of the dining room and grand salon. Yet undoubtedly, everyone falls in love with the chateau’s private setting and seclusion. We know that you will enjoy this idyllic setting as much as everyone else.

With a boulangerie in the village just 1.5km away and only seven and 10 kilometres from the nearest market towns, of L’isle en Dodon and Boulogne Sur Gess, all amenities are just a few minutes away by car, yet far enough to enjoy the privacy the chateau has to offer.

The chateau is in the heart of the beautiful French countryside, only 50 minutes from historic Toulouse and Spain is just 50 km to the south. The proximity of the Pyrénées display an ever-changing array of amazing views and there is a plethora of activities on offer throughout every season, such as cycling, water sports and hiking in the summer, and skiing along with other sports in the winter months.
