Barayre is a beautiful authentic medieval Castle surrounded by a large park garden.
Our cozy 12th century castle was visited by many important people before you. In the 13th century the future pope Clément the 5th stayed various days in Château de Barayre. We do our best to keep true to the historic atmosphere. In the meantime we did add today's luxuries as a swimming pool, fully equipped kitchen and fantastic terraces in the large park garden.
we rent 2 accommodations "le Château" and only during the summer we also rent out "la maison".

La Château: The space
On the first floor the 'solarium' and orange room are rented out together for 2 to maximum 6 persons. You access through the impressive main stairs or the exciting staircase that is hidden in the meters thick castle walls. The 'solarium' (9x5m) has heigh ceilings, a seating area, a two-person canopy-bed and high windows overlooking the park garden and inner courtyard of the castle. The orange room, with fireplace and stunning views over the landscape and pool, has 4 single beds. The bathroom is located in the solarium.
The (shared) living room and kitchen are located on the ground floor. Central to the ground floor is the "gentlemen's room" with a large fireplace and long dining table, wooden parquet floor and a sitting area with WiFi. From this room you open the doors to the kitchen and park garden. Various terraces in the park garden around the building make that you can enjoy the sun - or well needed shade - all day.
