Characterized by its distinctive gable, veranda, and symmetrical proportions, the building forms part of the architectural fabric that gives Stellenbosch its unique sense of place. Over time, it has been formally recognized as a Provincial Heritage Site, reflecting both its architectural value and its contribution to the town’s historic streetscape.

Originally a private residence, the house was later sensitively adapted into guest accommodation, becoming known as Eendracht Apartments. While retaining its historic character, the interiors were reimagined to reflect elements of the Art Deco period, creating a layered narrative of design across decades. Today, as it enters a new chapter as Boschhuis Apartments – Stellenbosch, the property continues to balance heritage and hospitality, offering guests the opportunity to experience a living piece of Stellenbosch’s history.
