In April, you can discover the meadows covered with wild daffodils.
The gîte is available in all seasons, all year round, as it is very well insulated, easy to heat thanks to the central position of the wood-burning stove.
The chalet is located in the heart of the Plateau de Millevaches, at an altitude of 900 m, at the end of a hamlet, at the edge of a path which invites you to discover the richness of the "Limousine Mountain":
beech or resinous forests, moors, peat bogs, pastures, pond and river (the Vézère) are accessible on foot from the gîte.
In front of the gîte, you can admire the panoramic view of a large beech wood and the pastures bordering the Vézère, as well as beautiful sunsets and the starry sky without light pollution:
the Regional Natural Park of Millevaches in Limousin is recognized as an "International Starry Sky Reserve" (RICE).
The incredible profusion of Lobaria lichens on the trees along the Vézère, near the chalet, is an indicator of the very good air quality.
Unfortunately, during your hikes, you will be confronted with desolate landscapes, due to the clear felling of hardwoods or softwoods, very common logging practices, but very controversial, even within the WOOD sector.

- IGN 1/25000 local map, maps of Corrèze and Limousin, topo guides of the Plateau de Millevaches
- sheets of marked hiking or mountain biking trails, remarkable sites
- books and brochures on fauna, flora, the region, local community life
- CD/Radio +CD player, board games, and games for children,
There is no television or WiFi connection, internet is accessible by 4G on smartphones.
SHEETS, PILLOWCASES AND TOWELS ARE NOT PROVIDED. Blankets, duvets, mattress pads and pillowcases, tea towels, bath mats are available.
We do not offer the "PAYING cleaning package" option, you agree to leave the chalet in the state in which you find it, very clean and tidy.
Animals accepted (only one per stay), after telephone interview.

Merveilleux séjour dans le chalet de Jackie et Didier. Le chalet est idéalement situé pour les amoureux de la nature, les écrivains en quête d'inspiration, les amateurs de champignons, les familles avec enfants... Une rivière, un étang et des bois sont accessibles à pied depuis le chalet. Le logement est très bien équipé et entretenu (il y a tout le nécessaire pour les enfants). De plus, la bibliothèque recèle de très beaux ouvrages. Nous avons apprécié les moments de lecture dans la véranda face aux couleurs d'automne... Didier et Jackie sont très accueillants. Nous ne pouvons que recommander leur logement ! Merci encore, c'était parfait !
