"Appartement Douglasie" avec balcon et étang (Mille Etangs)

The apartment Douglasie was newly built in summer 2020.
It was lovingly furnished with local untreated Douglas and spruce wood. It offers a warm character in the chalet style.

The apartment offers space for 4 people.
It consists of 2 single beds of 90x200cm, an alcove (bed built under the roof slope) of 160x200cm, a small kitchen with fridge, sink, ceramic hob, micro oven... as well as a nice modern bathroom which is equipped with a shower, a sink, a toilet and a window. In the apartment there is a large wardrobe, an entrance with mirror, a shoe rack as well as a comfortable seating area with two armchairs and a coffee table.
A lot of light enters the comfortable apartment. On the one hand by a large roof window and on the other hand by another large window and the window of the front door.
The apartment has a large balcony of about 30 m², equipped with a garden table for 4 people and a parasol. The apartment is on the first floor and has its own entrance. It is heated by central heating and can be booked all year through. A wireless local area network (WLAN) is available free of charge to all customers.

The large secluded property in the heart of the region of thousand lakes has a natural lake in which you can swim and go boating. Many green areas around the house with sun loungers as well as other garden tables and benches invite you to relax. There is also a fireplace for a barbecue or just to sit comfortably around the fire. From the apartment you have a direct view to the pastures of our animals (horses, goats).

Location of the accommodation
The apartment is located in the middle of nature, in an entirely renovated country house of 1741, in a secluded location with 12 hectares of property.

Magnificent hiking and cycling trails in unspoiled nature with numerous lakes directly border the property. Here it is more likely to encounter animals than people on a hike.

The nearest village (La Mer) is 1.5 km and the nearest village (Faucogney) 4 km away. In the historic place Faucogney there are: a tourist office, a pharmacy, a doctor, a bakery, a butcher, a German beer store, a small shop, a post office, an ATM, a restaurant, a garage, a church,… In summer, there is a market with local products every Saturday from 4 pm to 8 pm in the pretty historic town of Faucogney.

In Mélisey (10 km), there is a large Belgian supermarket (COLRUYT) with a nice vegetable department and a sale of fresh meat. Many other shops such as the bakery, the pharmacy, the butcher, the florist, the café are in the small town of Mélisey which is located on the Ognon river. There are also several restaurants in Mélisey. Not far from Mélisey, there is a very nice outdoor swimming pool with a slide for children. You can also have fun at the nearby river.
On Wednesday morning, there is a market in Mélisey.

In about 30 minutes by car, you can reach the beautiful little town of Luxeuil-les-Bains where there is a thermal bath and where various restaurants invite you to dine. In summer, there is a night market with regional products, music, pony riding etc.

There are different excursion possibilities for young and old

Faucogney-et-la-Mer is located at the foot of the Southern Vosges mountains in the south in the Milles Étangs region (region of 1000 ponds). It belongs to the Burgundy and Franche-Comté region and is located in Haute-Saône. Bicycles (also electric bicycles) can be hired at the Faucogney tourist office as well as at Mélisey.
