In accordance with national tax law, all Chilean citizens and foreigners residing in the country are required to pay an additional 19% VAT.
To be exempt from the 19% VAT, foreign guests must pay the amount of their stay in USD and present a copy of their immigration card and passport. Guests paying in local currency will not be exempt from paying this fee. In case of no-show at the establishment, the invoice will be issued in local currency and will include said VAT supplement.
This VAT supplement is not included in the hotel rates and must be paid separately.
It is considered cleaning at the end of the stay; it does not include maid service. In case you need additional cleaning, it can be requested at an additional cost.
