Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort, the highest five star resort in the middle east on the curving rim of a great canyon, is a secluded haven for the intrepid and discerning. 21 km from Nizwa, the resort features panoramic views from the cliff-edge infinity pool. A total of 115 luxury rooms and villas overlook either the dramatic canyon or tranquil gardens and a spa-like bathroom complete with a rain shower. A selection of five dining venues to choose from, Al Qalaa a fine dining Arabian grill concept, Bella Vista an Italian restaurant overlooking the grand canyon, Al Maisan all day dining serving world classics and cooking classes or Al Baha the café deli situated in the open air courtyard. Celebrate on Diana’s Point platform or The Royal Edge with a unique private dining experience overlooking the canyons.

A cliff-edge infinity pool, 2 hot tubs, children’s pool, state-of-the-art Fitness Centre and tennis court are available to enjoy. The Anantara Spa harnesses the essence of Arabia complete with a Hammam and private outdoor relaxation areas and separate male and female indoor spas. The kids’ and teens’ club offers fun-filled activities for all ages.

The resort presents travelers with authentic experiences, allowing them to explore the nearby culture, history and landscape. Activities include Via Ferrata, hiking, cultural tours, abseiling, mountain climbing, archery and mountain biking. Kindly be informed that a 4x4 (four-wheel drive) vehicle is required to access Al Jabal Al Akhdar as per government regulations. The drivers license and car registration documents which can confirm the vehicle is 4x4 (four-wheel drive) capable must also be presented at the checkpoint. The property is two hours from Muscat International Airport or four and half hours from Dubai – past date plantations, dry riverbeds known locally as wadis, and historical forts. Luxury transfers can be arranged on request.

Pets are not allowed in the establishment.
Children of all ages are welcome.
Children from 6 to 11 years old stay for 15 € per person per night when sleeping in an existing bed.
Persons 12 and over stay for 30 € per person per night when sleeping in an existing bed.
Children up to 2 years old (inclusive) stay free when sleeping in an available crib.
Extra beds or baby cots are only available upon request and need to be confirmed by the property.
Supplements are not automatically calculated in the total amount of the reservation on the site and must be paid separately directly with the establishment.

Please note that in order to access the resort, guests will need a 4x4 (four-wheel drive) vehicle to access Al Jabal Al Akhdar as per government regulations. The driver's license and car registration documents, which can confirm the vehicle is capable, must also be presented at the checkpoint.

Please note that there will be compulsory New Year's Eve gala dinner supplements of OMR 179 per adult and OMR 85 per child for the stays on 31 December.

Please note that during Ramadan, alcohol will be served only in Bella Vista from 19:00 to 23:45 (indoor only). The first two days of the Eid holidays will be dry days, and alcohol will not be served.

Please note that a compulsory Christmas Eve dinner on 24 December is available for all resort guests booked for this date. The price starts from OMR 49 per adult, and children aged 5–11 years will be charged from OMR 22 per child. The price is inclusive of applicable service charges, local fees, and taxes.Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in.
