In the Baie de Somme site, where the cliffs that lead to Etretat rise, Ault, a charming seaside resort, is home to the smallest gaming Casino in France ! In this legendary place, classified as a Historic Monument, players rubbed shoulders with fashionable artists from the Roaring Twenties. Edith Piaf even sang there!
Today, transformed into an unusual 97 m² gîte, Le Petit Casino and its sea view terrace (50 meters away) welcome 4 to 6 travelers for a unique experience.
Onival beach is 200 m away.
On the ground floor, the large, bright living room, with a “retro loft” feel, is decorated with magnificent Art Deco windows. There is a comfortable lounge area, with its two leather sofas, a large table for meals with family or friends, a bar which seems to serve as a landing strip for the plane that runs it, as well as a kitchen contemporary fully equipped.
Next door: separate bedroom, and shower room.
On the mezzanine, served by a beautiful metal and wood "boat gangway" staircase: two bedrooms separated by storage cupboards.
One is equipped with a double bed and the other with trundle beds forming a double bed if necessary. An old slot machine bears witness to Casino’s past.
The Petit Casino, rated 3 stars, is decorated with unusual finds found in flea markets or brought back from travels.
Outside, a large terrace allows you to have a meal, admire the kiters or dry your towels.
